Book: The Romitalic Book

A Study in Developing a Personalized Letterform

Participants in Randall's online Romitalic course have made numerous requests for a print version of this handout.

Randall Hasson's latest, detailed, printed handout book about the inspiration that leads to the creation of lettering!  From his online course of the same name, you'll see how to analyze the characteristics of a letterform that you like, and get ideas about how make it your own personal style.

Randall's process yeilded a personalized letterform from which a soft, rounded, lyrical Italic evolved. Romitalic contains exemplars for lowercase, capitals, and variations, and also details the  lettering styles that formed the initial inspiration for the hand.
